Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services of Affordable Documents AZ LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Our Services
Document Preparation Services
We provide legal document preparation services in Arizona, including:
- Bankruptcy petition preparation
- Divorce document preparation
- Child custody, support, and visitation documents
- Guardianship documents
- Other family law documents
We Are Not Attorneys
Important: We are Certified Legal Document Preparers, not attorneys. We:
- CAN: Prepare legal documents based on information you provide
- CAN: Type and file documents with courts
- CAN: Provide general procedural information
- CANNOT: Provide legal advice
- CANNOT: Represent you in court
- CANNOT: Tell you what documents you need
- CANNOT: Make strategic legal decisions for you
If you need legal advice or representation, you should consult with a licensed attorney.
Certification
Our document preparers are Certified by the Arizona Supreme Court, Board of Legal Document Preparers, in compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes and Supreme Court Rules.
Scope of Services
What We Do
- Prepare legal documents based on information you provide
- Review documents for completeness
- File documents with appropriate courts
- Provide support throughout the document preparation process
- Make corrections to documents as needed
What We Don’t Do
- Give legal advice about your situation
- Tell you what actions to take
- Interpret laws or court rules for you
- Recommend specific legal strategies
- Represent you in court proceedings
Your Responsibilities
Provide Accurate Information
You are responsible for:
- Providing complete and accurate information
- Reviewing documents before signing
- Understanding the documents you sign
- Seeking legal advice if you have questions about legal matters
- Attending required court hearings
Financial Information
For bankruptcy and financial matters, you must:
- Disclose all assets, debts, income, and expenses
- Provide truthful information
- Update us if information changes before filing
Providing false information to the court is a federal crime.
Fees and Payment
Service Fees
- Bankruptcy (Chapter 7): $200* plus court filing fees
- Other services: As quoted
- Prices are for uncontested matters
- Additional fees may apply for complex situations
Court Filing Fees
Court filing fees are separate from our service fees and are paid directly to the court.
Refund Policy
- Services are provided as performed
- Fees are generally non-refundable once work begins
- Contact us to discuss specific situations
Limitation of Services
Uncontested Matters Only
Our services are designed for uncontested matters where parties agree on terms. If disputes arise requiring court hearings or trials, you may need to hire an attorney.
Complex Cases
We reserve the right to decline services for cases that are too complex or require legal advice beyond our scope of practice.
No Guarantee of Outcome
While we prepare documents professionally and accurately:
- We cannot guarantee any specific legal outcome
- We cannot guarantee court approval of your documents
- Legal proceedings have inherent uncertainties
- Courts make final decisions on all matters
Confidentiality
We maintain confidentiality of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. However, note that:
- Court filings become public record
- Some information must be disclosed to courts and trustees
- We may be required to disclose information by law
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for court decisions or case outcomes
- We are not liable for consequences of information you provide
- Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for services
- We are not liable for delays caused by courts or third parties
Mandatory Arbitration
Any disputes arising from our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Arizona, rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
Arizona Law Applies
These Terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Bankruptcy Disclosure
We are a debt relief agency as defined by the Bankruptcy Code. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or refuse service:
- For non-payment of fees
- For providing false information
- For abusive or threatening behavior
- For any reason, at our discretion
If we terminate services, you will be refunded for work not yet performed.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Affordable Documents AZ LLC regarding our services.
